In collaboration with 12 Bihar Regiment as consultant we have embarked on the task to make Zero Waste Source Area.This project has two phases. First phase compromises of installing composterbins.Thesebins collect wet waste that comes from three hundred (300) Jawan’s daily breakfast , Lunch and Dinner after it has been segregated by 2Bin-1Bag method.
The second phase would concentrate on recycling dry waste. The second phase is currently being planned out while phase one is being executed.
With association of Bitan NGO ,we installed Community composter bin at Tribeni .
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility of the ITC Group, we worked as the consultant and advisor on this project.
In collaborations with ORBIT Developers (Kolkata) under Green Building Rules and Regulation, where we installed one set of Community composter bin at Royal Orbit project. A green building is a living space which consumes less water, optimizes energy efficiency, conserves natural resources and generates less waste which leads to healthier living space.

Under the Corporate Social Responsibility of ITC group, with Village Welfare Society, we ran segregation awareness campaign at Kolkata Russell street area two apartments .
Installed of the community composter bins and helped in explaining and working of the composter bin and its maintenance. The project is currently being looked after by Village Welfare Society .
Total 40 household are in this society . In collaboration with society association , installed one set of composter unit in first phase . 20 households are converting their wet waste into organic compost and reusing them as manure for their society garden.
In the second phase , we shall install another set of composter bin for balance 20 number households..
We installed one set of community composter bin Tata Communication Ltd , Kolkata campus . Total 1000 employee’s daily food waste getting convert into compost within 45 days .
By installing composterbin at their campus , daily 60kg wet waste not going to landfilled and can generate 320 kg organic manure every 45 days.
With State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) we have completed the trial run for composting process and installed one set of Composter bin. This is a community project, where awareness campaign and lessons on 2Bin-1Bag Waste Segregation has been provided.
we held a workshop on Sustainable Menstruation under our Green the Red Initiative. With adolescent girls and adult women of the inner-city area of Rongkol at Golf Garden (Kolkata). Where we concentrated on speaking about the health of young women and hygiene practices.
An average sanitary napkin also known as ‘pad’ takes around 400-500 years to decompose. Our workshop concentrated on the awareness of the side-effects of sanitary pads to both body and environment.
